#4 Rowan Curve Bodysuit - 2021 Make Nine

Yippee! Two makes down from my 2021 Make Nine list and just seven more to go! I'm still feeling good about the list even if we are in month five now... 😬

As of this posting, I have made three different bodysuits for TaMera.
The first variation of the body suit was the “test” one made from stashed purple vintage knit. (Shown above)

This one came out the best in my opinion because this specific knit lended itself really well to the pattern.

The second variation was made of black pointe leftover fabric from my graduating collection. It’s a good staple piece that is a bit heavy for spring and summer but still a good black top.

You’ll see a trend of black in the makes I create for TaMera since she is attending Cosmetology school and the dress code is black, white and gray.

The final variation is a knit polkadot which unfortunately came out a little short. Each of these knits have different stretch percentages and this one didn’t do well in the horizontal stretch.

This is one of the reasons Knit fabrics aren’t my favorite to work with. You can think you have a fabric just like the one you bought/made before yet it will give you a completely different result.

(I do have an idea on how to fix it that I will be trying out at a later time.)

I purchased a gray knit on clearance to make TaMera another Rowan out of. We’ll see when I get around to sewing that one. ;)
